About Us

The Housing Authority of the City of Pekin, Illinois, was formed in April 1960 upon approval by the State Housing Board by request of the Pekin City Council. The Housing Authority currently manages 196 apartments within the City of Pekin, 12 apartments in Green Valley, 12 apartments in South Pekin, 8 apartments in Mackinaw, and 16 apartments in Delavan.

The Pekin Housing Authority aims to provide decent and affordable housing for low- and moderate-income residents in the Pekin area. Pulling from a pool of almost 250 apartments, we work to match families and individuals as well as elderly and disabled members of our community to safe and secure living environments.

In addition to helping you find a place to live, we also make various programs available to residents. This includes hosting social activities and more.
