The Housing Authority of the City of Pekin receives modernization funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development through the Capital Fund Program (CFP).

The following improvements approved in the 2006 Capital Fund Grant and are expected to be completed in 2008:

1) Kitchen remodel at the Broadway complex, consisting of new cabinets, countertops, and plumbing.

The following improvements approved in the 2007 Capital Fund Grant and are expected to be completed in 2008:

1) General office renovation.

2) Replace appliances at Broadway.

3) Replace appliances at Park Ridge Estates.

4) Replace appliances in community centers.

5) Replace ATV vehicle.
