How Do I Apply For Housing Assistance?
We are currently accepting applications for our Public Housing Program and Rural Development 515 Program. The Pekin Housing Authority does not have any State, Federal, or local preferences.
You can fill out the application by using the link below. If you do not have access to a computer the application can be picked up in our office at 1901 Broadway St, Pekin IL, 61554 Monday-Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm.
By submitting your application for assistance you are giving consent for the Housing Authority of the City of Pekin to complete and obtain all criminal history records and credit reports for all household members (18 years of age and older) which are necessary to determine eligibility for assistance through the housing programs administered by the Housing Authority.
Applicants will be placed based on household income eligibility. This does not mean they qualify for assistance. Final qualification will be determined when the application process is completed.
If you wish to check on the status of your applicationplease call our Intercom Response System at (309) 347-9685. This number can be called 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
All applicants must keep their household information up-to-date. Applications will be held for 6 months at which time they must be renewed for them to remain active. You can make changes to you application through the website on the Update Applicant Information page or by contacting the PHA Office at (309) 346-7996.
The City of Pekin Housing Authority does not have emergency housing.
